TO FUTURE LANOGUARD

I always keep an eye open for new products
that help to protect my aircraft. LANOGUARD made good sense to me because
it is made of a natural product - sheep wool LANOLINE. It has been used down
through the ages to protect and keep things supple.
My main interest was to compare LANOGUARD against
two other products used as a mainstay in the aviation industry, namely LPS
3 and ACF 504 conductucted a trail on some heavily corroded flap skins. The
corrosion was well developed egg shell exfoliation normally considered close
to terminal in the aviation industry.
Side by side LANOGUARD LPS-3 and ACF-50 were sprayed
in the same quantity onto the corroded metal. Two weeks later I compared
each test area and found the area treated with LANOGUARD was the only one
I could scratch away the corrosion with my finger nail down to fresh bare
metal. Also LANOGUARD was the only one to leave a protective waxy coating.
Two years later the areas treated with both the other
products have dried out and started corroding again leaving hardly a trace
of any treatment. The LANOGUARD treated area is the same as it was at the
two week stage with the waxy coating still unchanged.
About 18 months ago I built some spray gear to treat
aircraft structures and since have inhibited a number of aircraft. The thing
that I really appreciate about LANOGUARD is when runs out the lap joints,
I merely grab a rag and rub it to enhance the paint. It doesn't matter if
it gets on Perspex, vinyl, rubber, leather or fabric it enhances them all.
These days I use LANOGUARD for all sorts of jobs,
things like stopping Mig weld spatter spoiling a finish. ( I was told and
didn't really believe until I tried. ) Wipe off the excess and paint on over
the top. I've introduced LANOGUARD to all my friends and they use it with
great success on their boats, fishing gear, moter bikes and farm machinery.
