Our products - marine use

Applications:

Boat trailers: Use the spray to protect the trailer frame and in and around the electrical wiring against corrosion. Can also use the grease on the axles and springs. For best application, leave the trailer in the sun to heat up before applying Lanoguard. Remove boat from the trailer.

Axles and springs: Use Lanoguard grease. Heat the grease to a consistency that can be applied with a paint brush (can be heated in a microwave with the lid off) and paint over the axles and springs. In cooler conditions the surface may have to be slightly heated with a heat gun to prevent the brush from gumming when it comes in contact with the cold surface.

Outboard motors: Use the spray over the entire power head, cowling and leg to waterproof and prevent corrosion and build up of salt. Use the grease on the steering pivots & cables and on all shafts, splines and pivots and anywhere else you would use a marine grease (except bearings).

Inboard motors: Use the spray over the entire engine and manifold, electrical wiring, clamps, rubber boots, etc, to protect from corrosion. Gives motors a fresh new look and also protects the electrical wiring from vertigris creep and keeps it supple. Use the grease on all shafts splines and pivots for maximum protection.

Propellers: To prevent marine growth it is best to treat with the grease. (All props should be cleaned properly and heated before grease is applied to attain maximum protection). NOTE: This is not anti-foul and treatment should be applied several times a year.

Boats and chandlery: Apply spray or grease to all external fittings, metals, plastics, rubber fittings and fiberglass to prevent corrosion of metal fixtures and perishing of rubber. It will also improve the overall appearance of all materials by restoring faded colours. Apply grease or heavy duty spray to anchors, winches and shackles for maximum protection.

Yacht rigging and pulleys: Spray with Lanoguard and wipe off any excess to protect from corrosion.

Electrics: Spray all electrical connections, switches, wiring with either heavy duty or general purpose spray and grease all battery terminals.

Canopies: Spray with general purpose Lanoguard to waterproof all canopies, canvases, etc. Spray and grease all press-studs to anti-seize.

Upholstery: Spray over all leather, vinyl, plastics and rubbers, including seats, trims, etc. Use sparingly (light spray and wipe with a clean dry cloth) to keep new appearance and provide a waterproof barrier. The surface will be non-greasy/slippery within 15 minutes of application.

Galley: Lanoguard spray and grease are AQIS approved for use in the food industry. Use throughout the galley for lubrication and corrosion prevention. Spray benches, cupboards and fittings to provide protective, easy to clean barrier. Spray metal fittings to prevent tarnishing.

Rods & Reels: Spray onto a cloth and wipe down all rods and reels to protect against corrosion and electrolysis on any fittings. Wipe over hypalon grips to keep supple and restore color. Lubricate reels with general purpose spray and grease. Do not pack grease inside the reel. Smear lightly on all moving parts.

Tackle: All hooks and leaders can be treated with spray (pre-heat first 60 degrees Celsius for extra protection).

Anchor chain stacking: Not a problem any more. Spray Lanoguard Heavy Duty Liquid on the chain for non-stacking and smoother winch running.

Tools: Tools used in boats & the marine industry should be coated for maximum protection against corrosion. Pre-heat before applying spray or the grease. This can be done by leaving in the sun on a hot day or placing in an oven at 60 - 80 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes.
